Palacio de Monserrate

The performance at Palacio de Monserrate was the brainchild of friend and artiste Mariana Ines, who had envisioned Odissi in Sintra long back and who had arranged for a performance there. I had been fascinated by what Mariana had described to me, but the experience of being there, and dancing there, was on a different level altogether. The performance was followed by a shoot with photographer Luis Conde - which found us on quite an adventure exploring different dimensions of the space, and to our pleasant surprise, discovering seamless connections between dance and architecture in the process.
